Insulation Services - Rim joist insulation in drafty crawlspace in Penfield, NY
This customer was having a hard time getting hot water in the bathroom over this cralwspace. We installed a vapor barrier and added 3 inches of closed-cell spray foam to the rim joists to stop cold air and moisture from affecting the pipes and temperature of the floor. The homeowners had previously insulated the water pipes thinking that would work. Now we have a system that is stopping the cold air from getting in there.
